52 Sundays of REWILDING in 2021
Field Notes from Jess ~ Sunday 13/52 weekend in review:
A River float was the perfect wrap up to the winter season! Here in the Pacific Northwest, we all welcome spring with great anticipation.
Three pals grabbed their gear and headed east for a 5-hour adventure on the Wynoochee River in the Olympic Peninsula. I’m lucky to have these two friends Matthew and Trevor ~ one a science teacher and the other a school counselor, who both happen to be River Rafting Guides
We had a blast with a water gun fight, rock skipping, storytelling and hot coffee sharing from a thermos that is 50 years old ~ These are some of my most joyous moments.
Interesting fact, the name Wynoochee comes from the Lower Chehalis place-name meaning “shifting”. Happy equinox Wildkind and cheers to the much welcomed shift into spring and of course... going with the flow.
Wildkind Academy will be organizing a September rafting adventure with these guys...details coming soon if your interested!
