Field Notes from Jess ~ Sunday 11/52 weekend in review:
 
Late winter wild shellfish forage! Wildkind Academy hosted our first event in partnership with Human Nature Hunting School and Chef Taus with Truthnfood. Pro instructor Bruce McGlenn provides a rich experience in the PNW as he expertly instructs on gear and technique for an epic rewilding experience of oyster hunting and shellfish foraging at Hood Canal Washington. Our brilliant Danish Chef made the most spectacular feast that warmed our hearts on this rainy/stormy day in the tidal flats. This field to table experience romanced our senses with exquisite taste from the bounty of nature.
Wildkind friends laughed and played in the mud while we dug for treasures and savored our freshly shucked oysters. Nature so generously provides....
This experience is at the heart of my mission for Wildkind Academy. “Partnering with nature for good times, great health and profound connection to our wild roots” 🏹 There will be many more field trips and adventures scheduled and thank you for joining me both virtually and in the wild.
